What you need to do is to install it your bicycle (either front wheel or rear wheel - see notes below) and ride your bicycle then you can get your devices charged (see note below).

Notes:
- The cable length is 1.1meters, you should determine if is is long enough for you. For some situations, to instlall in the rear wheel will be a probelm. 
- There is a rechargeable battery included, if the power level is low, you may need to keep it at a higher speed to keep your device charged.
- The cable to connect from the dynamo to your device is not included.
